+260.000 years ago our Prehistoric ancestors, the Neanderthals first appeared in the Vezere Valley. The caves offered a dry and safe haven, and for more than 230.000 years the Neanderthals lived in these caves.

These caves have been tested and tried by our Neanderthal and CroMagnon ancestors, and as far as we know there were no complaints. The caves we stay in are all 5 star [ not to be compared to a 5 star hotel ] which means you will definitely stay dry on a rainy day and cool on a hot summers night.
