The Forgotten Pathway – a 180 km hike from Bergerac to Rocamadour

This wonderfully scenic 180 km hiking pilgrimage route from Bergerac in the Dordogne to Rocamadour in the Lotactually dates back more than 900 years. Back then, it was used by both pilgrims and trades-people. However, it was in the 17 th Century that the route became very popular, due to the spreading of the plague. Hundreds, possibly thousand of people made their way along this path to Rocamadour in the hope of saving their town.

This scenic hike is ideal for everyone, but will certainly appeal to the Spiritual hiker with an appreciation for the history and historic places ‘en route..
